Who Are Eligible for Applying for NEET UG Exam 2023?
To be eligible for the NEET 2023, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
- Minimum Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2023.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed or appeared in the 10+2 exam or its equivalent from a recognised board to be eligible for the NEET 2023 exam.
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, NRIs, OCIs, Foreign Nationals or PIOs.
- Subjects of Study: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in their qualifying examination from a recognised board.
- Qualifying Exam Marks: Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry combined in the qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum marks required are 40%.
NEET UG Counselling Registration Process 2023
The schedule for NEET 2023 counselling will be released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on their official website, mcc.nic.in. Once the schedule is released, the link to participate in the counselling process will be made available. Information regarding the NEET 2023 counselling schedule will also be updated on this website when it becomes available. The MCC counselling process will cover 15% of All India Quota seats in government colleges, as well as 100% of seats in central universities, AIIMS, B.Sc. Nursing and JIPMER courses, based on the NEET 2023 scores.
The counselling process for NEET 2023 will consist of four rounds, including rounds 1, 2, mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.
